Tim. 22. Australian. Personal Trainer. Nutritionist. Massage Therapist. Health Professional. Entrepreneur. Life Experimenter. Fighter of the status quo. Damn near certifiable madman at times.
My name is Tim. I am a 22 year old Australian male.
I started this blog to help motivate myself as well as maybe help motivate and educate others. I grew up playing sport and being active, my primary sport being Rugby League, which I played from when I was 4 up until I was 20. I am a qualified personal trainer registered with Fitness Australia, a massage therapist registered with the Association of Massage Therapists and I have just completed my Bachelor of Human Nutrition at the University of Canberra, set to graduate on the 26th of September. I am running my own mobile personal training and massage business. Basically, health and fitness is a major part of my life.
I’m a firm believer in questioning…everything. Mostly myself. I enjoy pushing myself and one of my favourite past times seems to be dreaming up ridiculous challenges and goals for myself to attempt.
I fail. A lot.
But, I keep trying. I don’t let failure stop me. I learn from it, I adapt, and I grow.
Besides health and fitness:
I am in a long distance relationship with a girl I met over YouTube (oh yeah, I’m an amateur YouTube vlogger). We’ve known each other since April 2012 and started dating in December 2012. I live in Canberra, she lives in New York. We’re separated by a distance of somewhere in the realm of 16,000km, or 10,000 miles. We met for the first time in June of this year. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
I’m quite a ‘nerd’, although lately it seems like being a nerd is the cool thing to be so everyone is calling themselves that.
I am a massive Doctor Who fan.
Other things I like:
- Reading good books
- Watching good movies
- Watching those late night foreign horror movies
- Learning new things (currently learning Spanish as my first attempt at learning a second language)
- Going on adventures
- Dabbling in creative pursuits. Painting, drawing, sculpture (don’t do enough of it), video making. So on.
- Making people smile
I think that’s about it. What else do you need to know, really?
